CLAYTON – The driver of a Chevrolet pickup truck was transported to the hospital after reportedly slamming into the rear of a stopped garbage truck on Barbour Mill Road near Clayton, Thursday morning.
The driver of the Anchor Disposal truck was not injured, however, the hydraulic system on his truck was left inoperable due to the severity of the collision.
The 9:20am accident temporarily closed Barbour Mill Road in both directions. The North Carolina State Highway Patrol investigated the incident.
