Pikeville Man Jailed On $1 Million Bond In Cocaine Trafficking Investigation

GOLDSBORO, N.C. — A Pikeville man is facing 21 felony drug charges following an investigation by the Goldsboro/Wayne County Drug Task Force into cocaine distribution in the Fremont area.

Authorities said Jeannautica Tealle Jones, 27, of Nahunta Road was identified during the investigation as a suspected source of supply for cocaine in northern Wayne County.

Based on evidence gathered during the investigation, authorities obtained arrest warrants charging Jones with 17 counts of trafficking cocaine and four counts of maintaining a vehicle for a controlled substance.

Jones was arrested by the Goldsboro Police Department and transported to the Wayne County Detention Center, where he is being held under a $1,001,000 secured bond.

The investigation was led by Detective C. Crawford of the Goldsboro/Wayne County Drug Task Force.

In announcing the arrest Thursday, the task force said the case represents another step in its ongoing efforts to disrupt illegal drug trafficking in Wayne County.
