Dylan Pinder a sophomore at North Johnston High School won first place in all four events he competed in during the NC High School Athletic Association 2-A Outdoor Track Championship at North Carolina A&T.
Pinder won first place in the 100 meter dash, 200 meter dash, shot put, and discus.
Dylan holds the state record in the 100, 200, and shot put events. He set the state record in the shot put on his last throw with a distance of 13 feet 4 inches. He also broke his own state record in the 200 meter dash.
In the past two years, Dylan has won eight state championships.
Dylan, who was born with spina bifida, has always been confined to a wheelchair for mobility. However, his condition has never gotten him down, according to his father, John Pinder. “He has become a very capable young man.”
