Smithfield Police say they have solved two business break-ins.
Detectives have charged 42 year-old Odell Sheffield of Goldsboro with a June 18th break-in at Murphy’s Express on North Brightleaf Boulevard and a July 19th break-in at the Speedway on South Brightleaf Boulevard. In both break-ins, tobacco products were taken from the businesses.
Interim Police Chief Keith Powell said Sheffield is currently in custody in Pitt County where he is charged with multiple break-ins across several eastern NC counties. Among those break-ins were a burglary at the Speedway in Greenville where 50 cartons of cigarettes were taken and at Robinson’s Jewelers also in Greenville.
