Smithfield Police are investigating two break-ins discovered on Wednesday.
Around 6:20am an officer on patrol discovered a break-in at the Sunglass Hut on Outlet Center Drive. A door glass was shattered by the suspect. An undetermined amount of property was taken from the business according to Police Captain T.S. Choe.
Around 6:00pm Wednesday, a resident in the 200 block of East Davis Street returned home and discovered a side door to their home had been kicked in. Two guns, a 9mm and 22 caliber, were stolen along with a Makita sawzall. The items were valued at $950.
No arrests have been made in either incident.
