CLAYTON – Police are investigating the death of a 2 month-old baby. Around 11:15am Thursday, Clayton Police were dispatched by Johnston County 911 to a residence on Pinecroft Drive. Police and EMS located a female infant deceased at the home.
Police Chief Greg Tart said a death investigation is now underway. Detectives are awaiting autopsy results from the State Medical Examiner’s Office to help determine a cause of death.
No further information is being released at this time.
