SMITHFIELD – Detectives are investigating a robbery at an East Smithfield home.
The victim told police two known suspects went to his home on West Street and demanded money, around 1:30am Saturday, June 1. The victim said he was physically assaulted.
After being beaten, one of the suspects removed a wallet from his pants. After determining there was no money in the wallet, the suspect threw it to the ground. Both suspects then left.

Police said the incident was not random.
Wilson’s Mills and now Smithfield…who’s next?
Your home. All the evil is coming for you.
This wasn’t a random robbery. The victim knew his assailants.
To bad the man did not have a gun to protect himself.
