FOUR OAKS – Four Oaks Police are investigating a serious single vehicle accident. The accident was reported around 2:00pm today (Wednesday) in the 4000 block of US 301 near Spring Branch Drive.
A white Chevrolet pickup was traveling northbound when the truck veered to the left, crossed the southbound lane and off the roadway, where it struck a tree. The truck came to rest on top of a landscape berm at the Holt Lake South subdivision.
The driver was transported to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
Traffic on US 301 was reduced to one lane until the scene could be cleared.
The State Highway Patrol, Four Oaks Police, Four Oaks Fire Department, Johnston County EMS, and the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office responded.
