Police Raid East Smithfield Home

Smithfield Police and NC Alcohol Law Enforcement Agents raided a home in East Smithfield on Friday.

Interim Police Chief Keith Powell said officers had received information about possible narcotics and stolen property at a home on Massey Street and obtained a search warrant.

Among the items seized were stolen power tools, prescription pills, non-tax paid liquor and alcohol paraphernalia.

No arrests were made Friday but charges are pending, Chief Powell said.
