Police Raising Money For K-9

The Four Oaks Police Department is asking for donations in their K-9 Campaign.

Police Chief Stephen Anderson said the department is trying to raise $25,225 to buy and train a dual purpose K-9 for the Four Oaks police force. It will be the department’s first ever K-9.

The department is partnering with the Never Forget 911 Foundation of Benson, a non-profit 501c3 organization, for the fundraiser.  All donations are tax deductible.

A dual purpose K-9 is cross trained for patrol and narcotic detection work. Patrol work includes advanced, off leash obedience, agility, tracking, building search, area search, article search, handler protection and criminal apprehension.

All funds raised will go towards the purchase of the K-9, training and any additional needs such as a ballistic vest.

Donations can be made via Paypal at Clivingston825@gmail.com or by calling the Never Forger 911 Foundation at 919-524-1935.  Individuals with questions about the campaign can also contact Chief Anderson at the Four Oaks Police Department at 919-963-3112.
