Clayton Police have released video and a description of a vehicle wanted for crashing into the front of a Clayton business last Friday night.
Officers are looking for the driver of a silver 1994 to 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee that came speeding off US70 into the parking lot of the Handi Mart at 10419 US Highway 70 West. The SUV jumped the curb and struck the front of the building causing an estimated $20,000 in damaged, before backing up and speeding away through the parking lot of the adjacent McCall’s Restaurant.
While video footage did not capture the license plate on the vehicle, it did catch a glimpse of the driver. The SUV also had a sunroof, bug deflector and vent shades over each window.
