Selma – Selma Police are searching for two women who passed counterfeit $100 bills at three businesses on Tuesday.
The suspects presented counterfeit $100 bills as payment for items at the Food Lion, Family Dollar and Big Lots on S. Pollock Street. Both suspects are described as young black females. One of the women has a red cast on her left arm.
Police Chief Billy Thomas believes the suspects are from the local area and may have already passed counterfeit money at other stores in the Selma and surrounding areas.
The fake $100 bills all had the same serial number: E07224908B.
Surveillance video captured the two women in one of the stores. Another camera captured a photo of an SUV in the parking lot they were operating. The vehicle appeared to have a silver or white hood and a darker color body.
