Porch Pirates Steal Amazon Package
Smithfield Police are investigating the theft of an Amazon package stolen from the front porch of an East Smithfield home. Officers said a package containing $30 in items was stolen off the front porch of a home in the 900 block of E. Lee Street on Thursday.
The package was delivered by a carrier at 3:30pm. When the resident arrived at her home around 6:30pm it was missing.
Police said it is the first reported case of a porch pirate this Christmas in the Smithfield city limits. There are no leads.
