SELMA – A Princeton couple arrested near Selma remain under investigation by detectives with the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office.
Mark Ivey Edgerton, 41, and Minnie Pearl Teague, 37, of Luby Smith Road, Princeton were arrested around 12:34am April 18th for felonious possession of burglary tools in a subdivision under construction off River Run Run.
Authorities said several thefts had been reported in the subdivision in the previous week and some property owners had installed cameras. The same vehicle was allegedly caught on camera at the scene of additional thefts.
Shortly after midnight on April 18th, a deputy was on patrol in the subdivision and spotted a vehicle matching the same description. Edgerton and Teague were reportedly found nearby with burglary tools. Both were arrested and jailed on a $30,000 secured bond.
Deputies said they seized a 2012 Chevy Malibu they were operating as part of an ongoing investigation.
