Princeton Residents Asked To Remain Inside While Mosquito Spraying Takes Place

The Town of Princeton will begin spraying for mosquitoes tonight (Tuesday).

The Princeton Town Board voted unanimously Monday night to begin fogging insecticide to control the mosquito population, which has been a public health nuisance since Hurricane Florence.

Starting at 8:00pm tonight (Tuesday), spraying will begin in the city limits.  Town officials are asking all Princeton residents to remain inside if possible to avoid breathing pesticides in the air.

The mosquito control will involve fogging for adult mosquitoes throughout the entire town.  Town officials ask residents to remain inside for 30 minutes after spraying.  The time period will greatly reduce the likelihood of anyone breathing the chemicals being sprayed to control the insects.
