Princeton Traffic Stop Leads To Drug Arrest

A Johnston County sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on South Peedin Avenue on Tuesday. During a search, oxycodone and drug paraphernalia were allegedly found in a zip lock bag in the passengers pocket.

Scotty Dewayne Hughes, 45, of Arrowhead Drive, Princeton was charged with three counts of trafficking in opium or heroin and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.  He was jailed under a $10,000 bond.
