Johnston County authorities executed a search warrant Thursday night in Wake County as part of an ongoing investigating into a recent rash of thefts from construction sites in Johnston County.
A total of 10 thefts have been reported in the last two weeks in Johnston County from new home building sites.
Last night, Johnston County deputies, with the assistance of the Wake County Sheriff’s Office, conducted a search at a home in Raleigh and recovered property taken from 4 of the 10 sites.
The items had been taken from sites in the Clayton, Smithfield, Selma, and Kenly area.
Sheriff’s Captain Jeff Caldwell said the investigation into the thefts is continuing and charges are pending.
