Public Library of Johnston County and Smithfield Closed to Patrons

The Board of Trustees of the Public Library of Johnston County and Smithfield has implemented changes with their operations due to the increased number of positive COVID-19 cases.

The library building will be temporarily closed to all patrons. All library fines are now suspended and will not accrue.

Library staff will continue to work and they encourage library patrons to take advantage of curbside service.  To use this service, patrons should request holds through the online library catalog or call the library during business hours Monday through Friday between 9:00 am-5:00 pm to request materials from the library staff.  Staff will fill the requests and have the items available for pickup.

Contact the library at 919-934-8146 to ask questions or to receive help obtaining library resources.  Patrons may also visit the library website at https://www.pljcs.org/.
