SMITHFIELD – The Town of Smithfield needs to better tell its story. Tim Kerigan, Human Resource and Public Information Officer, says that’s the feedback members of the town council and citizens have been telling staff members in recent monthly.
Kerigan received approval last week from the town council to print a 24-page, full-color booklet that will serve as an informative booklet and benefit investors considering Smithfield.
The booklet will also be available in a digital format to be accessible on the Town’s website and shared digitally through social media platforms.
The Council agreed to spent up to $8,000 to publish 10,000 copies of the booklet. Funds will be pulled from the Economic Development Initiative line item in the current budget to pay for the expenditure. The new marketing booklet was unanimously approved.
