Three fire departments responded to a house fire Thursday night. The fire was reported at 7:09pm at 445 Indian Camp Road, Smithfield off Smith Road in the Cleveland Fire District.
One adult was inside the home when the fire started. They made it out before fire personnel arrived. They were transported by ambulance to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Crews from the Cleveland, 50-210, and Wilson’s Mills Fire Departments responded and brought the fire under control. Johnston County Emergency Services Fire Marshal Adam Stanley said the cause of the fire has not been determined. The home was a complete loss.
The Red Cross is assisting three adults and one child who lived in the home.
