NC House Representative Donna White of Clayton won the District 26 Republican Primary on Tuesday defeating challenger Justin Tate of Selma.
In unofficial results, Rep. White received 72.5% of the vote total with 7,084 votes to Tate’s 2,681 votes.
White is seeking her third term in the NC House. A registered nurse, she is the first woman from Johnston County to serve in the NC House.
Democrat Linda Bennett of Zebulon will challenge Rep. White for the District 26 seat in November.
