CLAYTON – A suspect is facing numerous charges after he reportedly broke into the wrong home, then apologized to the startled homeowner before fleeing.
Ricky Paul Hollie, age 32, of Greensboro, NC was arrested following the incident around 2:54am September 30.
Hollie was allegedly searching for his girlfriend’s home on River Dell Townes Avenue, off Buffalo Road, when he kicked in the door to the wrong address.
The suspect reportedly told the victims he was sorry before leaving. He then reportedly broke into his girlfriend’s home, authorities said.
Hollie was located at the second address and arrested. He faces two counts of breaking and entering to terrorize or injury, breaking and entering a motor vehicle, interference with emergency communications, injury to property, misdemeanor larceny, and misdemeanor possession of marijuana.
No injuries were reported.
