BENSON – A woman and her two children escaped injury after someone reportedly fired a gun at her car. The incident happened Friday afternoon, Nov. 8 on Interstate 40 in Johnston County.
The 37 year-old victim said an unknown male driving a SUV began following her. The suspect was driving erratically and when his vehicle got beside her car a large black handgun was pointed towards her.
The victim said she heard “pops” that appeared to be gunfire. She called 911.
State troopers and deputies located her on I-40 near McGee’s Crossroads. The suspect vehicle was no where to be found. Authorities were unable to find any bullet holes or damage to her car.
The incident appears isolated but it does remain under investigation.
I’ll take things that never happened for $500
I drive I40 and I440 daily/nightly to work SO @Lulu I’ll take a thousand for “you are delusional!” You obviously don’t drive often among the crazies. Trust me! They exist!
I agree. I switched jobs, just so I would not have to travel from JoCo to Raleigh.
The person might have been opening a bottle of Champaign (alcohol free). My feeling is that someone was wanting a little attention, and I could be wrong but I’m with Lulu on this one.
