  1. I remember a time here when this was one other most peaceful family oriented counties to live in before drugs and people from other places started pouring in over the last 25 years or so. They call it progress 😆 Let me know when we’ve progressed.

    • That’s odd. I have been here for over 40 years – have watched the same local families get in trouble, then the grandkids of those families started getting their mugshots or names in paper – back when there was printed newspapers that listed all that were arrested. And now even some great grandkids have come into local scene. Some are names that are local to a specific town – and if you have been here long enough – each town or community knows who it is. Then there is the once untouchable families – the ones that everyone knew what they did – but you didn’t want to disappear like had happened to one or two. They finally got into a little bit of trouble – but not really for what everyone local knew they were doing. I have been seeing the same names – and yes new ones over the years – but it’s been happening with the families born and raised in the area for 40 years.
I have lived in several different areas of the county in the past four decades so I know the facade – but underneath is what to have failed to see. I guess it was too bright and white under there and you only see when it gets dark. Do you not know the history of this county ? Moonshine for one. Still were being busted on a regular basis in the southern part of the county. Those family have been around for longer than my years.
Try looking at the principals list and honor rolls names when they are printed – lots of smart and talented diversity has really helped this county grow. Years ago if you went to another county and said you were from or lived in joco – it did not have a good reputation. The censors won’t let me say why but think gomer or goober, throw in Otis for good measure. And breaking bad type stuff and many other substances before that have been here for a long time.
