Republican Women Recognize Johnston County First Responders

The Johnston County Republican Women (JCRW) have been busy making sure first responders are recognized and feel appreciated. In 2020, the organization put together more than 300 goodie bags filled with treats and delivered them to every Johnston County police department and the sheriff’s office.

This year the group provided a breakfast to more than 150 volunteer firefighters at their quarterly county drill sessions.

The goal is to touch every Johnston County firefighter with a small gesture of appreciation before the end of the year, according to JCRW Vice President Cheryl Houseman.
