December 31st was the last day on the job for Lynn Corbin the longtime animal control officer for the Town of Smithfield. Corbin worked for the town over 28 years. For the last 23 years he was the animal control officer.
Smithfield Mayor Andy Moore and members of the Town Council honored Corbin during their Jan. 3rd monthly meeting with a plaque. Moore said Corbin helped countless citizens with animal control issues over the years and his dedication won the respect of the citizens and his fellow workers.
After receiving the recognition Corbin said, “I really enjoyed my job. It was the best. I’m going to miss it.”
