Nationally known pastor David Manning will appear live on AM-1090 WTSB on Monday, October 26th at 2:15pm.
Originally from Red Springs, NC, Rev. Manning in an African-American conservative radio minister and chief pastor of the Atlah Word Missionary Church on 123rd Street in New York City.
Manning, 68, harvested cotton and tobacco as a boy. The day he graduated from high school he took a bus to New York City. In the 1960’s he became radicalized which he said was driven by his hatred of white people. He spent 3-1/2 years in prison for break-ins and robberies before his release in 1978.
While in prison, Manning became a Christian. In 1982, he graduated from a New York seminary.
Manning now holds a conservative viewpoint and has been openly critical of President Barack Obama and other African American leaders. Rev. Manning will be interviewed by WTSB President Carl Lamm.
