The Clayton Chamber of Commerce has recognized Kristen Veilleux as the October SUPER STAR Teacher of the Month. SUPER STAR teachers demonstrate excellence and leadership in their classroom, creativity and motivation of their students and show a high level of commitment to our community.
Veilleux has a strong passion for teaching and motivates her students to their best in all areas. She creates a classroom community where all students are accepted and support each other. She encourages her students to be leaders in the classroom and to overcome academic challenges. Ms. Veilleux represents the teachers in the River Dell PTA and assists with PTA events.
Community service is very important to Ms Veilleux and she gives her students opportunities to serve with activities such as organizing a School Beautification Team and having her students create decorations for a local nursing home.
