A Johnston County man is crying fowl after someone stole his chickens reportedly valued at $20,000.
Tuesday afternoon, deputies responded to an address on Brodie Lane in the Cleveland community after a 43 year-old man said someone stole all 60 of his roosters.
Authorities don’t believe the birds flew the coop on their own. There was evidence someone may have climbed over the top of a fence to take them. A hat found at the scene was seized for evidence.
Anybody with information about the theft is asked to contact the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office.
