Congressman David Rouzer has won reelection to represent North Carolina’s 7th Congressional District in the House of Representatives. Rouzer was first elected to represent North Carolina in Congress in 2014.
In unofficial results, Rouzer carried 60 percent of the vote total over challenger Christopher M. Ward in the eight county district that includes a portion of Johnston County. Rouzer received 269,847 votes. Ward received 176,610 votes.
“Once again, I am grateful to the citizens of the 7th Congressional District for placing their trust in me to be their voice for conservative values and leadership in Congress,” said Congressman Rouzer. “Our nation faces great challenges, but with faith and preservation of the principles that made our country great, we will overcome them. Thank you to all of those who voted early, via absentee, or in person today for making their voices heard.”
