Marijuana and drug paraphernalia were reportedly seized from a car during a traffic stop Thursday on Highway 210 at Old Fairground Road near McGee’s Crossroads.
A Johnston County SAFE Team deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle because of an insurance violation. During a search of the car, 2 grams of suspected marijuana were located along with hypodermic needles.
Brittany Nichole Brown, 19, of Westgate Circle, Angier and Joshua Dixon Cook, 21, of Teresa Court, Angier were arrested.
Brown was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Cook was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Both were taken before a magistrate and given a $1,500 bond each.
