A fire that damaged a Four Oaks area home on Thursday is being treated as suspicious.
Firefighters had to battle scorching heat while extinguishing the flames at 1071 Juniper Road. The fire was reported around 4:45pm.
Four Oaks EMS crews stood by to assist firefighters from the Four Oaks and Blackmon’s Crossroads Fire Departments who found heavy smoke coming from the home when they first arrived.
The Johnston County Fire Marshal’s Office responded to the scene. They were joined by the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office and later the NC SBI.
