SC Woman Identified As Driver Killed In I-95 Accident

FOUR OAKS – The State Highway Patrol has released the identity of a motorist who died in a three vehicle accident on Interstate 95 in Johnston County. The collision was reported around 1:30pm Sunday, January 14 near the 84 mile marker, between Benson and Four Oaks.

Sharrone Delphine Harrison, age 60, of Summerville, SC was traveling southbound in a tan Toyota passenger car. Harrison lost control of her car, veered into the median then traveled through the median guard cable. The Toyota entered the northbound lanes and was t-boned in the driver’s side by a northbound black Dodge Ram pickup. The pickup was then struck by a white SUV, also traveling northbound.

Ms. Harrison died at the scene. Two people in the pickup and one person in the SUV were rushed to Wake Med with serious injuries.

The collision closed northbound lanes of the interstate for nearly 2-1/2 hours.
