Johnston County school students will not have to make up a day lost to winter weather in January.
At their board meeting on Tuesday, the school board agreed to forgive January 22nd for all three school calendars including traditional schools, year-round schools, and Early and Middle College High Schools.
Brian Vetrano, Chief Personnel Officer, said staff are still required to work 215 days per year and will need to make up the day. The school board approved Vetrano’s recommendation a workday be added to the end of the school year on all three calendars for staff.
