Police are investigating a break-in at the Johnston County Schools Middle College on the campus of Johnston Community College in Smithfield.
Between Friday and Tuesday, someone broke into the school building and removed near $3,600 in property. Among the items taken were computers, cameras, sporting equipment, a data projector, garbage can, and even a cup.
Smithfield Police Captain R.K. Powell confirmed Wednesday that entry was made into the school and the items were taken. No additional details were released, but Powell said the break-in was under investigation.
