Glendale Kenly Elementary School was placed on lock down for much of Tuesday morning due to a manhunt near the campus.
Around 7:30am, state troopers attempted to stop a car that had been reported stolen. The vehicle fled before the driver and two occupants jumped and ran on foot.
While the search was underway for the suspects, and because the search was in close proximity to the school, the campus was placed on lock down as a precautionary measure.
Dozens of law enforcement officers searched the area for the suspects. The search covered sections of Glendale Road, J Howell Road, and Old Route 22. Photos by John Payne
