Officer Jordan Jeffrey who most recently had been the School Resource Officer at Neuse Charter School has been promoted.
Jeffrey, who has been on the Smithfield Police Department since February 2011, was promoted to the rank of sergeant. Sgt. Jeffrey received his new oath from Smithfield Mayor Andy Moore during the June meeting of the Smithfield Town Council.
“I am excited to see the police department promote qualified officers from within,” Police Chief Keith Powell told WTSB News. “Sgt. Jeffery began his career with the Smithfield Police Department and will do an outstanding job as Sergeant.”
Sgt. Jeffery received his bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. He resides in Selma with his wife, Sarah. JoCoReport.com Photo
