Johnston County Public Schools will auction off to the highest bidder hundreds of surplus items.
Used furniture, equipment and vehicles that are no longer useful to the school system, whether through age or repair, had been placed in storage until they were declared surplus recently by the Johnston County Public School board.
The items include: 1998 Ford E150 van, flooded 1999 Dodge Ram 3500, inoperable zero turn mowers, soccer goal and net, field striper, 2 flag poles, pallet of doors, ceiling grids, upright Wurlitzer piano, welder, ice machines, candy and drink machines, windows, book shelves, cabinets, tables, chairs, kitchen equipment and even Christmas decorations.
The items will be sold on Thursday, November 2nd at Johnston County Schools Facilities Services Building on US 70 at Highway 210.
The items can be viewed on Wednesday, November 1st. They will be available for pickup on Friday, November 3rd.
