A new drive thru coffee shop will be locating in Smithfield. Scooters Coffee will be constructed in the Pine Needles Shopping Center at the corner of N. Brightleaf Boulevard (US 301 North) and Hospital Road. The 648 square foot free-standing building should be open for business in early-August and will hire 15 workers.
Scooter’s Coffee is a drive-thru franchise that has been serving world-class coffee for more than 20 years and has over 300 locations in 20 states across the nation. Currently, Scooters Coffee only has one other location in North Carolina in the town of Monroe. They plan to open a store in Indian Trail, NC in May, according to Josi Orsi, Senior Manager of Brand Execution at Scooter’s.
Scooter’s signature drink is the Caramelicious, and their menu features an array of specialty espresso beverages, single-origin coffee, fruit smoothies, Red Bull Infusions, Cold Brew, baked-from-scratch pastries, and breakfast options. Scooter’s also recently released its first-ever ready-to-drink canned flavored lattes.
