A Johnston County Boy Scout was recognized by Clayton Mayor Jody McLeod and the Clayton Town Council on Monday.
Thomas Wright, 17, a member of Archer Lodge Troop #421 recently completed his Eagle Scout Project. Working with Clayton Parks and Recreation Director Larry Bailey, Wright made four educational signs that have been placed along the Greenway in Clayton. Wright was accompanied by his father, Scott, Monday night at the Clayton Town Council meeting where he was recognized.
“You’re as much as a public servant as we are,” Mayor McLeod told Wright who described his contribution as something that will not last just a few days but for many years.
