KENLY – The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a runaway teenager.
Emely Valeska Castro Padilla was last seen on May 13, 2024 at North Johnston High School. A missing person report was filed by her family on May 17.
Emely is a 17 year-old Hispanic female, 5 foot 4, 160 pounds, with light brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a long gray shirt and dark colored shorts.
She is believed to be in the Kenly or Micro area. Foul play is not suspected.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Emely Valeska Castro Padilla is asked to contact the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office at 919-989-5000. Callers may remain anonymous.

show me the NC General statute that says a 16 year old is “legal to self determination’ and I will believe you. Other than that she is a juvenile that has run away from home. The reason why is not important till she is found, then the why can be addressed.
