A second suspect has been arrested for the robbery and shooting of a convenience store clerk.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office says they arrested 18 year-old Tyquellas Jaire Thompson of Big Daddy’s Road, Pikeville is charged with attempted murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon, kidnapping and felony breaking and entering. He is being held under a $1 million bond.
Ervin Lee Waters, 19, of Goldsboro was arrested earlier in the month. They are accused of robbing the Handy Mart on US13 North as the business was closing onJuly 11th. The clerk was forced back inside the store and held at gunpoint as the suspects took cigarettes and lottery tickets. When the clerk tried to flee he was shot.
Warrants have been obtained for a third suspect, 18 year-old Khalik Najm Green of Tommy’s Road, Goldsboro.
