Second Snatch & Grab Theft Reported This Month At Same Business

SMITHFIELD –  Police are investigating a second snatch and grab robbery this month at a local business.  Both thefts happened at Polo Ralph Lauren at 1025 Outlet Center Drive.

On January 26th, police said two unknown suspects entered the business, grabbed $2,501 in denim pants, then fled out the door with the merchandise.

On January 4th, two unknown suspect grabbed 12 jackets valued at $3,184.56 and ran from the business. 

Police Chief Keith Powell said Friday detectives are investigating both cases. Police have not said if the two incidents are connected.
