Second Teen Linked To Benson Burglary

A second teenager has been linked to a Benson-area burglary.

Megan Lynn Gibler, 19, of Cornwallis Road, Garner was arrested Thursday after being connected by detectives to a July 24th burglary on Old Fairground Road. While two people slept inside a barn, someone broke into the building taking their cell phones and a Playstation game system. The suspects also broke into one of the victims cars and removed a purse.

On August 9th, 19 year-old Ja’Qwon Anthony Mingus of Clayton was arrested.

Both Gibler and Mingus are charged with first degree burglary, breaking and entering a motor vehicle, possession of stolen property and two counts of larceny.

At least one more arrest is expected to be made by sheriff’s deputies.
