RALEIGH – Contractors for the N.C. Department of Transportation will close the stretch of Mial Plantation Road between Major Slade and Smithfield Roads today (March 3) to improve an intersection.
The project will realign the intersection to enhance safety by relocating it away from a curve.
During construction, drivers should use Smithfield Road to reconnect with Mial Plantation Road.
Detour signs will be in place. Drivers should use caution and be aware of construction crews.
