Members of the Selma Fire Department and Selma Police Department were recognized by the Selma Town Council and Mayor Cheryl Oliver on Tuesday night.
The Town of Selma has proclaimed this week – September 10th-16th – as First Responder Appreciation Week.
Mayor Oliver said Selma’s first responders are a vital part of the community as they risk their lives and safety to provide service to those in need, including both career and volunteer police, firefighters, emergency medical responders and members of the military.
