Two “Selma Visioning Sessions” postponed last weekend due to the inclement weather have been rescheduled. Selma Mayor Cheryl Oliver is asking Selma residents and business owners to participate in at least one of the events.
Oliver says the sessions have two main goals: The first is to brainstorm together what Selma should be in 20 years. The second is to update the public on key projects that are underway or planned in the near future. Input will then be sought on long-term and future needs and goals.
The sessions will be held Saturday, Feb. 20th from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon and Tuesday, February 23rd from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Harrison Center for Active Aging, located on Noble Street in Selma. Light refreshments will be provided.
Based upon the discussions at the two meetings, Mayor Oliver said officials will then determine if additional sessions would be beneficial.
