SELMA – Selma Police are investigating a weekend shooting that left one person dead.
Police were called to a home at 612 N. Pollock Street at 2:33am Sunday.
One person was found deceased at the scene. Police said they have a person of interest in custody and are not looking for anyone else.
Officers said the incident was not random.
Police have not released the name of the victim or the person who is in custody.
Selma police detectives are being assisted by the NC SBI.
