Fidler, 28, is from Wendell and graduated from Basic Law Enforcement Training at Johnston Community College in Smithfield in February.

Fidler holds a bachelors degree from NC State University.  Police Chief R.A. Cooper introduced him to members of the Selma Town Council during their monthly meeting on March 8th.

“He will be an asset to the town,” Chief Cooper told the council.

“I’m glad to be here,” Officer Fidler said. “There is a great sense of community and a good police department. I hope to work my entire career in the Town of Selma.”
