A tractor trailer carrying 19 tons of strawberries wrecked on Interstate 95 near Kenly this morning (Wednesday).
The wreck was reported just before 5:00am in the northbound lanes near Bagley Road.
The truck ran off the roadway and came to rest in a wood line. The driver said he was forced off the interstate by another vehicle. The driver was not hurt.
The strawberries were picked up by the truck in Florida and were headed to Massachusetts. The semi is expected to be removed Wednesday afternoon. Until then, one northbound lane will be closed near the accident scene. Photos by John Payne
